Poe Motors began in 1963 with Wayne Poe and his son, Tommy Poe, in Dallas Texas. It started
as a wholesale company. Then in 1980, the father and son opened their first tote the note lot on
Buckner Boulevard.
During the 80’s the next generation came to work in the family business. Tommy’s kids, Tracy
and Keri, started working at the car lot and have made it a life-long career. The business was
moved to the Cedar Creek Lake Area in 1997.
In 2019 the business relocated to Wills Point Texas and Tommy’s youngest daughter, Kim,
joined her siblings working at the car lot.
The company moved back to Seven Points Texas in 2022. A new permanent office was built in
2024, and Seven Points is where the company will stay. The younger grandchildren work during
the summers and the family legacy continues as they train the next generation.
