Poe Motors began in 1963 with Wayne Poe and his son, Tommy Wayne Poe, in Dallas, Texas. It started as a wholesale company. Then in 1980, the father and son opened their first tote the note lot on Buckner Boulevard.
During the 80’s the next generation came to work in the family business. Tommy’s kids, Tracy and Keri, started working at the car lot and have made it a life-long career. The business was moved to the Cedar Creek Lake Area in 1997.
In 2019 the business relocated to Wills Point, Texas and looks forward to serving the Van Zandt County Area. The family continues to pass the torch to the next generation. Tommy’s youngest daughter, Kim, Tracy’s son, Tyler, and Keri’s daughter, Kenzie, have all joined the company. The younger grandchildren work during the summers. The family legacy continues as we train up the next generation.
